    About the Conference

    THEME: Changing Landscapes of Mental Health Education across the Lifespan.

    The Department of Mental Health Education NIMHANS aims to promote the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities through excellence in teaching, research, and service in the area of mental and neurological disorders. Its goal is to facilitate voluntary health-related behavioral and social change through the application of principles of behavioral and social sciences. Currently, NIMHANS is the first institution in the country to train a workforce exclusively in the area of Mental Health Education. The First National Mental Health Education Conference hosted and conducted by NIMHANS would enable students, faculty and practitioners with the knowledge and skills to effectively address mental health education through a variety of integrative approaches.

    Registrations: Registrations will be limited to 200 participants from diverse backgrounds including Social and behavioral Sciences, Social Work, Public Health, Psychiatric Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services and allied professionals

    Conference Goals and Objectives:

    The First National Conference on Mental Health Education (MHECON 2018) aims at bringing together social & behavioral scientists, health, media and allied professionals  and create a platform to share their unique expertise and  ideas to the evolving field of Mental Health Education. Conference participants are expected to gain relevant knowledge and better understanding of the various facets of Mental Health Education domain. The primary objective of this conference is to understand issues and challenges in evolving field of Mental Health Education and disseminate knowledge and share experience in fields that can contribute to Mental Health Education
