The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani announce admissions for 2019 – 2020 to its Higher Degree (HD) Programmes, i.e. M.E/M.Pharm./MPhil. to be offered across its 3 campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. While candidates will be admitted based on marks obtained in the HD Test score conducted by BITS Pilani, admissions to these programmes will also be offered to candidates based on GATE / GPAT scores. BITS Pilani will be launching two new programmes this year leading to a M.E. Degree in Sanitation Science, Technology and Management and M.Phil. Degree in Liberal studies.
Admissions to the HD programmes will commence from March 18th 2019.
Programmes Offered at Pilani Campus:
- M.Pharm with specialization in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
- M.Pharm with specialization in Pharmaceutics
Programmes Offered at Hyderabad Campus:
- M.Pharm with specialization in Pharmaceutics
Eligibility for Admissions: Integrated first degree of BITS in Pharmacy or its’ equivalent with a Valid GPAT Score card.
Application Procedure:
- Interested and eligible candidates should apply through the prescribed application form available online at http://www.bitsadmission.com. Hard copy of Application form is not required to be sent. However candidates are advised to take a printout of the filled-in form and keep a copy with them for further reference.
- While filling the application form online candidates are required to give preferences to programmes which they wish to apply for. Please refer to Programme wise eligibility criteria.
- While applying in the application form candidates who wish to be considered for admission through GATE/GPAT are to enter details of GATE score (year of GATE examination, GATE All India Rank and GATE Score) or GPAT Score.
- Candidates who wish to write BITS HD Test are to give test center preference for three centers.
Application Fee:
• Those who wish to be considered through GATE/GPAT score only: Rs 1000/-
• All others Rs 3150/- (including the fee for BITS HD online test)
Important Dates :
- Deadline for submission of completed application form online with prescribed fee: 30th April 2019
- Announcement of admission offers to candidates based on GATE / GPAT score (Iteration 1: 3rd May 2019
- BITS HD Online Test: 15th & 26th May 2019
Admission Modality: To all the higher degree programs, admissions will be made, on the basis of merit, as per the modalities explained below:
- Admissions based on GATE (for M. E.) / GPAT (for M. Pharm.) score and
- Admissions based on the marks obtained in the online HD test conducted by BITS
