Pack 403 is a fully automated horizontal flow wrapper designed for wrapping bars and biscuits, chocolate, cookies and crackers. It can be used for medium to high speed wrapping.
The machine also features a removable discharge belt, which, through its detection function, allows the machine to reject faulty packages and automatically eject them using compressed air. It is upgraded with cross and fin seal units.
The cross-seal unit has a narrow cutting head enabling operators to manually open it for cleaning and clearing using a hand wheel. It also features air and fork gusseting capabilities.
The new fin seal unit has pressure-controlled fin wheels to easily adjust the machine to run a range of products with different films.
In addition, the film tower of the machine includes an easy-to-adjust pivot arm and sequentially numbered film rollers for easy film threading.
Bosch Packaging Technology Netherlands product manager Fransien de Ruijter said: “Our new Pack 403 offers mid to large sized manufacturers a fully-automated packaging solution that is exceptionally easy to operate, clean and maintain. This minimises downtime and increases overall equipment effectiveness.”
According to the company, Pack 403 is capable of producing up to 800 packages per minute at a film speed of 90m. It will support pillow, gusseted and easy-to-open pack styles.
The new machine also features an automatic film splicer displaying clear instructions to secure fast and smooth film changes.
Pack 403 also offers access to global comprehensive customer services such as the company’s regional service hub in Thailand.
