A 20-member Chinese delegation comprising of members from Development Research Council (DRC) of China visited Bengaluru on Tuesday as part of the 4th NITI Aayog-DRC Dialogue to be held over two days beginning October 31 2018 in Mumbai.
As a part of the technical visit in Bengaluru, the delegation on Tuesday visited InfosysNSE 0.60 %, Bangalore Helix Biotech Park and Huawei R&D center.
The DRC-NITI Dialogue provides an important platform for both sides to discuss key macro- economic issues impacting both countries and areas of mutual interest. Both the organizations meet annually alternatively in India and China and hold dialogue in mutually agreed areas. So far three dialogues have been held.
Gaurav Gupta, Principal Secretary, Department of IT/BT, Government of Karnataka said, “Both India and China are emerging as go to markets for technology investment, and it is essential that we co-create and collaborate with each other to tackle challenges being faced by our countries as we move forward. “Karnataka’s conducive environment, with several R&D institutes, a cosmopolitan culture and availability of skilled labour, has made the state a technology leader not only in India, but across the globe.
We hope to work towards an enhanced cooperation on innovation and technology development aiming at actions strengthening cooperation between Chinese and Indian industriesNSE -8.06 % and start-up ecosystems.”
