    Research Fellowship

    Essential Qualifications & Experience: M.Sc. in Life Sciences or allied subject areas with >60% marks. The applicant must be familiar with molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, IHC and Western blotting, human tissue/ blood handling. Candidate with experience in IHC, Western blotting and data analysis will be preferred. * M.Sc. degree having duration of one year course will not be considered. Selected candidate will have to join at the earliest; hence results-awaited candidates will not be eligible to apply for the post.

    Consolidated Salary: Rs. 23000/-per month.

    Duration : Six Month The work progress of the candidate will be monitored and extension after 6 months will depend on satisfactory progress of the work.

    Eligible Candidates may attend the walk in interview on Wednesday, 19th December, 2018 at Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Khanolkar Shodhika, ACTREC along with recent CV & original and attested copies of all certificates and testimonials with recent passport size photograph.
    Selection:
    Final selection into the PhD program is based on the candidate satisfying HBNI eligibility criteria. Candidates must attend an ‘objective type’ Written Exam which will be held at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Technology, opposite Kharghar Station, Sector 7, Belpada, CBD, Navi Mumbai-400614.The list of candidates who have qualified in this exam will be displayed at the: (i) ACTREC website, (ii) Examination Centre, and (iii) ACTREC Security Gate.
    The candidates who have qualified in National Level Written Entrance Tests or have a valid Junior Research Fellowships obtained from CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ DBT or other recognized agencies – after appearing for a written entrance test, will be called for direct interview at ACTREC. But they must apply online and have received external fellowship intimation. In order to receive direct interview dates they should send proof of the award by e-mail ([email protected]) .
    The candidates are short listed for direct interview on the basis of their performance in the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences. The list of candidates short listed is displayed on the ACTREC website and these candidates who are interested in ACTREC’s Ph.D. program must apply online.
     The list of research projects being offered to PhD students at TMC will be displayed on the ACTREC website. Candidates are encouraged to interact with and seek information from the Principal Investigators whose names and e-mail IDs will be given against their respective projects.
    How to apply
    Candidates can apply online through institute website www.actrec.gov.in and then submit the duly filled and signed application form along with all the enclosures mentioned in the application form and a Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.500/- drawn in favor of TMC-ACTREC payable in Navi Mumbai (No fees for female candidates and SC/ ST or physically handicapped candidates, provided proof is attached) .Candidates should write their name and application number behind the demand draft. The candidate should sent  the hard copy of the application form along all the enclosures to the Senior Administrative Officer, Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer, Tata Memorial Centre, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai 410210.
